Line Cook
The line cook position is for Georgie’s Restaurant, which serves breakfast and dinner, caters to Motorcoach lunches and hosts occasional special events.
The Anchor Inn Hotel is located in the coastal town of Twillingate, NL, known as the Iceberg Capital of the World. The Anchor Inn is a welcoming oceanfront hotel with the 70-seat Georgie’s Restaurant, the 80-seat Captain’s Pub and the Blue Barrel Gallery Café nearby. Our diverse menus include fresh seafood and Canadian cuisine, and we are proud to serve hotel guests, visitors and residents with fresh, flavourful dishes in a friendly and relaxed setting. Our restaurants operate from May to mid-October under the leadership of a Managing Chef.

Position Summary:
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and executing menu items according to recipes and presentation standards, while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workstation. You’ll work with our Chef / Kitchen Manager to support smooth kitchen operations during busy breakfast and dinner services and to prepare meals for pre-booked lunch groups. This role is ideal for someone with solid line experience, strong cooking skills, attention to detail, speed and the ability to maintain consistency during peak service periods. You are someone who thrives in a busy, team-focused kitchen environment and takes pride in your work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items to order during breakfast and lunch (pre-booked group tours), or dinner service.
- Set up and stock stations with all the necessary supplies
- Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards are met
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures at all times
- Communicate clearly with other kitchen staff and front-of-house as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation during and after shifts
- Assist with prep work and kitchen cleaning
- Assist with receiving deliveries as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- 2 – 3+ years of experience as a line cook in a commercial kitchen preferred
- Strong understanding of cooking techniques, kitchen tools, and food handling
- Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, tidy and organized
- Flexible to work shifts
- Culinary training is an asset, but not required with equivalent experience
